What Is San Diego Community Power?

San Diego Community Power is a not-for-profit public energy agency serving nearly 1 million customers in San Diego and its surrounding communities. Check your energy bill to see if you are already a customer! If you are not a current customer, you can sign up and immediately become eligible for these rebates.

What Incentives Are Offered?

San Diego Community Power’s Solar Battery Savings Program provides customers with two options for saving thousands. Customers can receive up to $10,000  in up-front rebates for batteries, based on factors like the size of their system and whether you already have solar panels. Stellar can guide you through how to maximize your rebate. Additionally, they can sell energy from their battery with Grid Service otherwise known as a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). The goal of a VPP is to reduce stress on the electric grid when demand is at its highest. Participants will receive $0.10/kWh when they agree to discharge their battery to their home or the grid for at least 2 hours per day. Stellar estimates this will amount to $250 per year for each battery, given minimum participation.
