Michael Powers is a founding partner of Stellar Solar, currently serving in an advisory capacity and on special projects.

In 2001, he helped launch The Home Depot’s national in-store solar energy program in San Diego; annual sales reportedly top $100 million, providing home solar through hundreds of Home Depot stores in nearly a dozen states. He is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with a career that spans publishing, home improvement and of course, solar energy. He is passionate about renewable energy and long-distance transmission systems; in 2019, he was invited to present at the Global Energy Interconnection Conference, held in Beijing.

When he isn’t studying or presenting on renewable energy, Michael serves on the board of local non-profit Global Energy Network Institute (GENI) along with other charitable groups. He enjoys creative writing, singing with a local choir group, hiking in Mission Trails and traveling the world with his wife Jeanne, who was formerly a hospice chaplain and currently serves as Staff Minister at Vision CSL.
